Bromcom (My Child At School - MCAS)

In an effort to continually improve communication with our community, we are transitioning to the use of Bromcoms App My Child at School (MCAS) as a key tool for communication with parents.

This will allow parents to access all communication relating to their child (including letters home, attendance data, behaviour updates etc.) and make all payments to school (lunches, trips etc.) in one place.

We will update this webpage with as much information and updates as possible to ensure you're supported through this transition.

Withiin the first two weeks of term, there will be workshops for all parents, to talk through features of the app in detail and to provide training and support to enable you to use this app effectively.

If your child is joining us in Year 7, there was an initial issue with the system that meant you were unable to top up your dinner money balance. This has now been fixed, please try to log in again and let us know if you require any further assistance.

There was an outage on the system today (Monday 2nd September) if you were unable to access the system please try again tomorrow when we hope the issue to be resolved.

We continue to issue refunds from ParentMail. All funds will be returned. These may take up to 5 business days to clear. Please bear with us, the process for issuing refunds is quite time consuming.

You will be able to access My Child At School (MCAS) and download the app to Apple & Android devices here.

The timetable below details what to expect and key actions taking place during this transition:

Beginning of Summer School Will send details of school ID and accounts to all families, in emails and via text
By the 30th August Parents

Will register for MCAS, set this up using details provided and download the app (if needed). Checking that all details on the system are accurate.

(Please note the earlier date of 21st August has been adjusted to allow for more time to do this)

During Summer School Will arrange for refunds to be made to all families of any funds existing within ParentMail
During Summer School Will monitor account set ups and contact families to ensure everyone is set up on the new system
By 30th August Parents

Will ensure their child's lunch account balance is topped up so they can access the canteen on their first day of school in September.

(Please note the earlier date of 26th August has been adjusted to allow for more time to do this)

During September School Offer continued support to parents to access and set up the software / app
On 9th September Parents Y11 parents must attend a parent welcome event. Training and support with the app will be provided
On 10th September Parents Sixth Form parents must attend a parent welcome event. Training and support with the app will be provided
On 11th September Parents Y10 parents must attend a parent welcome event. Training and support with the app will be provided
On 12th September Parents Y7 parents must attend a parent welcome event. Training and support with the app will be provided
On 16th September Parents Y8 parents must attend a parent welcome event. Training and support with the app will be provided
On 17th September Parents Y9 Parents must attend a parent welcome event. Training and support with the app will be provided
