Our expert Key Stage 5 team are dedicated to supporting Sixth Form students to achieve their God given potential, whether that be to attend a Russell Group University, undergo an apprenticeship, or gain qualifications leading into employment. As part of their seven-year journey in education, students are supported to become aspirational young people with excellent academic achievements and positive attitudes.

We look forward to welcoming you to our community.

What do current students think?

"I have loved my time at St Marks Sixth Form. The support from all the sixth form team and the encouragement from them all really inspired me to push myself further. The teachers genuinely care about what helps you and how you best learn in order to best support you. Without their support, I would not be going to university for medicine, and I wouldn’t have felt as confident as I did for my exams. I would recommend the sixth form because of this support and encouragement, as well as recommend it for the amazing experiences the school can offer us. We had so many trips, talks, etc. on enrichment day that truly did enrich our minds and prepare us for our future. I started at St Marks in year 7 as a shy, nervous girl who knew no one and came by myself from primary, and I’m leaving as a year 13 with friendships I wouldn’t change for the world, confidence I didn’t know I could have and dreams that I know I can achieve."

CJ - Year 13

"I moved to the UK in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, it was the start of Year 11 and I had no idea that GCSEs were ahead of me. I was fortunate to start St Mark's and was immediately in safe hands. I finished my GCSEs with nearly all grade 9s and decided to stay for sixth form. The university preparation could not have been easier due to the support of amazing staff - my progress leader, the head of sixth form, the leadership team, and all my teachers. I received advice on my university choices and had help with my personal statement and UCAS application. When the time came that I received an interview from the University of Cambridge, I was mentored by amazing teachers in preparation for it. Although A-levels were a really hard time, I had so much support, both academic and wellbeing, that I am fortunate enough to say I have now finished my first year at the University of Cambridge. I could not have done it without the amazing team at St Mark's, who dedicate their whole selves to helping students, arranging booster sessions on top of timetabled lessons, providing students with additional material and past papers, and so much more. I wholeheartedly recommend this sixth form. It helped me transform into the best version of myself I never dreamt of becoming."

Sarah - Past Student (2023)

"Currently in St Marks as a Year 12 student the school has brilliantly executed helpful and beneficial events that aid in my future goals after secondary school. Via outlook email my school allows me to present the best version of myself by sending a plethora of opportunities to augment to my personal statement. The school had provided me with the opportunity to be a member of the Elephant Group which helped me experience life at university through a residential trip to Exeter University, where I learnt a vast number of skills and greater insight into my future. I highly recommend attending St Mark’s because they show genuine care for our next stages in our career and demonstrate the utmost effort into catering to our future goals through a vast number of opportunities."
