16-19 Bursary Fund
The 16-19 Bursary Fund is a fund available from the government to aid students whose access to, or completion of, education is inhabited by financial constraints or barriers.
The bursary fund is a limited fund and the school will provide support to students based on level of need and the number of applications received.
Applications are now closed for academic year 2024-25.
There are two types of Bursary Fund that students can apply for. To apply for the funding, students must meet one or more of the criteria listed:
1. Vulnerable Award
Students aged 16- 19 years old, who are in care; are leaving care; are in direct receipt of income support or universal credit in their own name or are in receipt of both Employment support allowance and disability living allowance or Personal Independence Payments.
2. Discretionary Award
Students aged 16-19 years old, who are economically or socially disadvantaged and facing the most significant barriers to participate in education.
